A package exploded at Northeastern University in their “Virtual Reality Laboratory”, which caused at least one injury. The package seems to have been left in the laboratory and did not go through the US Postal Service and allegedly had a note on it according to the victim who opened the package criticizing with hatred against the concept of virtual reality and of Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg.
While it is to soon to state what this person’s ideas are, from the description of the note, it is clear there is an individual possibly inspired by Ted Kaczynski, also known as the Unabomber. As the anti-technology statements and targeting university staff are both things promoted by Ted Kaczynski. If there will be more attacks remains unclear however.
We will be monitoring this situation as more details come out as some media outlets are claiming that the blast could have been set off by the victim themselves as a hoax.
